NaNoWriMo is an annual event that takes place in November, that hundreds of thousands of people all over the globe take part in. There is one goal, and you have thirty days to reach it. Write a 50,000 word novel. It's a mountain to climb, but it can be done, and the thousands that have completed it over the years are proof of that.
A Troubled Soul
This was my first year at attempting to make 50,000 words, and to be honest, I didn't really know what I was in for. In October I joined on the website, added some friends, and I thought I would be able to do it easily. But I was wrong. After a few hours of hard work, and only 2000 words made, I knew I was in for a challenge. Unfortunately I didn't manage to hit 50,000 words in 2007, but at least I knew what I was in for next year.
The Book
In a spin-off from the 'Chronicles of Lonagra' series, we see the life and times of Veringar Glasuolli, from the day he was born, to the day he became leader of the tribe. And, of course, all the adventures on the way. There's action drama, and even a bit of romance. Three ingredients to cook up a great spin-off novel!
